We’re so glad you found your way to our website! Here you’ll find information about our chalet. We—Hannah and Christopher—have a real love for Goeree-Overflakkee. Hannah has been coming here since childhood, staying at her grandparents’ house. She holds many wonderful childhood memories of the area: playing on the beach, swimming in the sea, and ending the day at Restaurant Akershoek on the village square in Ouddorp. We’ve returned here often over the years and even spent our first holiday with our son here. Gradually, a long-held wish to have a place of our own on Goeree resurfaced. When we came across this chalet, we fell in love with it instantly. Since then, we’ve spent a lot of time here and truly enjoy this spot. We take great pleasure in maintaining both the garden and the cottage. We’d love to share our love for the island and this place with others. The chalet itself is located at the De Goede Ree holiday park. It is a spacious 48m² unit featuring two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room, making it suitable for up to 4 people. Both bedrooms offer enough space to accommodate a cot, so a holiday with a young child is perfectly feasible. There is also a bathroom equipped with a toilet and a shower. The kitchen is well-appointed and contains everything you need to prepare a great meal. In the evening, you can relax in the living room, listen to a vinyl record on the record player, or simply turn on the TV. Click here to view all the amenities the chalet has to offer.

From the chalet, you step straight out into the spacious, green garden. The fence, covered in greenery, offer plenty of privacy and creates a sheltered spot where you are protected from the wind. You can enjoy the sun all day long or seek out the shade under one of the parasols or the pergola. As the evening cools down, you can light the wood-burning stove in the covered area; there is even a patio heater available. From there, you might even catch a glimpse of the sunset.
The garden is fully enclosed—ideal if you are bringing your dog along, and it also ensures that small children cannot simply wander out of the garden.

Goedereede is a charming, small, historic harbor town, distinguished by its square brick church tower. Near the old harbor, you will find several inviting cafés and restaurants, as well as an excellent bakery that also serves ice cream. On Thursdays, the town square hosts a market. Throughout the year, various fun events take place, such as the annual “Port Days” (haven-themed festivities) and harbor concerts. The chalet is located on the outskirts of Goedereede, within easy walking distance of the lovely town center. Thanks to its central location, everything on the island is easily accessible by car or bicycle; for instance, you can reach Ouddorp in 10 minutes by bike, and the beach is just a 15-minute cycle away.

In our opinion, the beaches on Goeree-Overflakkee are the most beautiful in the Netherlands. There are more than 15 beach access points nearby. Whether you want to swim and sunbathe, go for a walk—with or without your dog—or enjoy water sports, everything is possible. In some places, you can walk over a kilometer across the sand before reaching the sea, while in others, you simply cross the dunes to find yourself at the water’s edge. With a bit of luck, you might even spot a seal. If you want to round off a lovely day at the beach in style, the many cozy beach pavilions offer the perfect spot for a bite to eat and a drink.
